Buehler Moving & Storage Company installed the Move Management module
of Mover's Suite Software in May, 2004. From the onset, we adopted
an attitude that we would utilize this system to our best ability. At first,
it was difficult to get everyone on board because change is hard for everyone.
Surprisingly, some of the employees that we thought would not accept
the change were the first ones to fully embrace the system. However, it
was still important that we constantly monitor all employees so that they
fully utilized the system.
On October 1, 2004, we installed the Accounting
and Financial Services module as well as Great Plains and FRx.
The AFS module is amazing compared to the system we had before. Orders
can be processed and billed much faster. Invoice layout is very flexible. Generation
of commission statements is so quick and easy that what used to
take days to complete is done in a matter of hours. Since converting
to Mover's Suite, we have grown from about 25 commission statements
to approximately 45 today. One person would not have been able
to perform this function with our previous system. Additionally,
the information provided on the statements is much more informative
and understandable.
I consider the decision of implementing
Mover's Suite Software and Great Plains as one of the best decisions this
company could have made. With Mover's Suite, all of our office
staff and sales representatives are much more productive today
than previously. From local dispatch to customer service to accounting,
everyone is able to handle more volume. We have grown our business
by approximately 25% without adding any additional overhead.
Billing for third party services used to be hit and miss.
Now, third party services are always billed in a timely manner.
The fact that coordinator's can put information about third party services
into the system upon ordering those services has saved us an immeasurable
amount of money. If it is there in the system, billers cannot miss
it when they are billing.
The monthly close and financial statement generation process
has improved dramatically. Generation of financial statements is
so easy that I generate them numerous times during the month so that
I can constantly project where we might end up for the month as
well as identify possible errors or omissions. Through FRx, I now
generate numerous reports in a matter of minutes that had previously
required days of effort. The design and generation of new reports
is so much easier and better that today I have reports that I would
not have even attempted to generate in the past.
With all of the above said, the one important fact one must
remember is that training is never ending. Employees must constantly
be reminded of the features of Mover's Suite so that they can be as
productive as possible. Additionally, as enhancements are made
and implemented, staff members must be trained on how to best utilize
these enhancements to continue to improve efficiency.
In summary, Mover's Suite is the best
package I have seen out there, and I am totally
satisfied with our decision to purchase it. Mover's
Suite is the future for successful moving & storage companies.
