Creating Segments will allow the user to associate two move locations to each other and allow the user to further specify move and date information related to the locations.   The Segment information can also be exported to a third party application.

 

A Segment can be created without any Extra Stop records.  A user can associate the Segment to the origin and destination of the move itself as defined within the Moving From and Moving To data entered through the Name, Address, Phone tab.

 

Use the following procedure to create a Segment to document the specifics of a stop and define its relationship to another stop on the Order.

 

Adding a Segment

1.   Access the Mover’s Suite application,

2.   Find and open an Order,

3.   Open the Extra Stops tab,

4.   Press the Add button within the Segment Information section and the Add Segment dialog will appear,

5.   Select an Origin location from the provided list,

6.   Select an Destination location from the provided list,

NOTE: The Location options of Destination and Origin are pulled from the Moving to and Moving From fields, respectively, found within the Name, Address, Phone tab (see Figure 9). 

7.   Enter data values in other fields, as needed,

8.   Press Save to add the Segment record.

 

The Segment Number is used to identify the Segment record and cannot be altered from within the Add or Edit Segment dialogs.  To update the Segment Number the user can use the up and down pointing arrows listed on the right side of the Segment Information grid.
