There are three modes to work with when defining Auto Commission Options records:
Auto Commission Options record does not exist or is disabled
If no Auto Commission Option record exists for a Labor Area or is disabled for the Labor Area, then NO auto commission will be generated for the Labor Area.
Choose this mode if you want to disable auto commissions. This mode also represents the behavior of Mover’s Suite prior to this release.
Auto Commission Options record exists, is Enabled, and no Preferred Agents are selected
If an Auto Commission Option record exists for a Labor Area and the Enabled flag is checked but no Preferred Agents are selected, then all Item Codes that exist in the commission plan of the person defined in that Labor Area will be auto commissioned.
Choose this mode to allow the auto commissions on all item codes defined in the person’s commission plan.
Auto Commission Options record exists, is Enabled, and Preferred Agents are selected
Only Item Codes that match the Preferred Agents that are checked will be auto commissioned for the selected Labor Area.
Choose this mode to allow auto commissions to occur for Item Codes where the Preferred Agent matches that of Auto Commission Options for the particular labor type. For example, assume that long distance drivers are eligible to have auto commissions for Item Codes associated to hauling items only then the Auto Commission Options setup would be as follows:

For each Preferred Agent that is checked for an enabled labor area, the application will reference the commission plans for from the employee’s personnel record and will attempt to match the branch of the item codes found within the plan to the preferred agent. When a match is encountered, then data from the employee’s commission plan will be used to compute their commission.
If the application cannot match the charge to an item code or if the Auto Commissions Option is disabled then commission will not be automatically generated for the item.
