SIRVA allows its orders to be registered with multiple move types and address location types.  Additionally, a Salesperson can also have the same van line ID as the OA Surveyor/Estimator for the order.  To allow for the multiple references, Mover’s Suite has created a mapping mechanism with the Web Administration Tool for each type and user.

The External Interface Mapping is available within Address Location Type setup, Move Type setup, and User Setup areas and allows an administrator to associate a van line code to more than one Mover’s Suite Move, Address, or Personnel record.

Figure 5: Sample External Interface Mapping for Address Location Type.

Note: The External Code referenced in the following procedure will be available from one of the External Interfaces referenced through SIRVA (Allied, NAVL, or Global).

Creating External Interface Mapping records

1.    Open the Web Administration Tool,

2.    Access one of the External Interface Mapping sections within the following:

Move Setup > Address Location Type > External Interface Mapping

Move Setup > Move Type > External Interface Mapping

User Setup > Personnel Interface Mapping

3.    In the New External Interface Mapping section,

4.    Add the External Code expected for the record type being entered.  The code expected by SIRVA can be numeric or alphanumeric.  For Personnel, this will most likely be the employee’s sales number referenced by the van line being set in the External Interfaces field,

5.    Select a defined van line from the list of External Interfaces,

6.    Select the Mover’s Suite record type to be associated to the External Code in either the Address Location Type, Move Type, or Employee drop-down,

7.    Press Save to add the record to the list,

8.    Repeat Steps 2 through 7 to define other mappings.

When orders are downloaded into Mover’s Suite they will be able to reference these mappings without error.
