Managing Material Types

 

The heart of the Containers, Packing and Unpacking system is the ability to track materials used in a move and to apply actual amounts associated to the move within Revenue Entry.  These materials can be defined for any type a user wishes to associate to the containers, packing, and unpacking categories.

 

An unlimited number of material types can be setup within the Web Administration Tool and Mover’s Suite provides the following material types, as a default:

 

Dish Pack

1.5 Cubic Feet

3.0 Cubic Feet

4.5 Cubic Feet

6.0 Cubic Feet

Wardrobe

Crib

Single Mattress

Double Mattress

King/Queen Mattress

Mirror

Lamp

Tape

Paper Pad

News Print

WARNING: Integration between Mover’s Suite and IGC Software for the transfer of Containers, Packing, and Unpacking data requires that the first twelve material types from the list above be established; excluding Tape, Paper Pad, and News Print.  If these types are not established, then data will not be transferred

 

 

An administrator can modify or add to this list of entries through the Materials setup (Accounting Materials) within the Web Administration Tool.  More information on modifying and adding material types is detailed within the following sections:
