An exciting enhancement to the Mover’s Suite application is a system that tracks certain elements of safety on company personnel and equipment. The focus of this feature is to provide local and long-distance dispatchers a visual way to be informed of the state and serviceability of their equipment, as well as viewing key safety data on their personnel.
Keeping track of when a driver’s license expires, or when they had their last physical, can be very beneficial and can help avoid potentially harmful incidents. The Safety System can even provide a means of locking out faulty equipment, as well as keeping unsafe drivers from being dispatched; an Administrative Hold can be placed on personnel and equipment alike, preventing them from being assigned.
Illustrated in the sample below are the safety status indicators and their meaning.

The safety status indicator is based on dates defined within the Web Administration Tool. A yellow indicator will appear, for example, when nearing a date for the next time that a piece of equipment is required to be inspected or a driver’s license is nearing expiration. Refer to the Safety System Administration and Setup section for a complete list of dates that trigger the safety indicator.
While most safety settings are created with the Web Administration Tool, dispatchers can view all the safety information and log the safety events directly from either Local or Long Distance Dispatch. Both the View Safety Information and Log Safety Event options are available to the user through right-mouse click options within Local Dispatch.

Safety information in Long Distance Dispatch is available through the Current Driver Activity window.

When the option to View Safety Information has been selected, a separate Safety Information window will appear containing all safety data related to the selected record.

Safety Events logged through the Web Administration Tool and Local and Long Distance Dispatch provide a permanent historical record used to evaluate and monitor equipment and crew.

In addition to viewing safety information through the Web Administration Tool or through Local and Long Distance Dispatch, several reports are available that displays this data over specific periods of time. Refer to the Safety Information Reports section from more information.
