A practice adopted by several Mover’s Suite customers has been to define a Move Type entitled “Cancelled Move” (in Web Administration Tool > User Setup > Move Type) and to change the Type of Move (Move Information tab) to this value when the order has been cancelled.  Since the Move Type field has been added to the Find’s selection grid, a user can exclude all cancelled orders by using the Custom Filter and electing to exclude them.

The application will return only those orders for which the Move Type is not “Cancelled Move.”

Alternately, the Filter Builder can be used to exclude the cancelled move filter; with an option to save the filter, as well.

The Filter Builder is accessible through the Customize… button within the Find’s selection grid.

Note to Administrators: When creating the Move Type for cancelled moves, make sure that the

Manual Order Number flag is set.  This will help insure that the type is not used to create new orders.  Read more within the Web Administration Tool section.
