What's New
AR Credit & Collections
AR Credit & Collections
All the data written to the AR Collections report, and a whole bunch more, will be available in the new, add-on module, introduced in the Fall 2009 release. The AR Credit & Collections module has been designed to provide a visual snapshot of customer standing in regards to company receivables. Accurate, real-time customer account balances and on-demand Account Receivables data and an aging graph keep collectors abreast of trends in customer activity, while a messaging system displays customer alerts to the collectors. A task system, specific to AR Credit & Collections, along with activity logging features ensures that collection performance is optimized.
Highlights of the AR Credit & Collections module include the following:
- Alert messages based on accurate data notify collectors of needed action
- Alerts can be based on customer balance and aging and individual invoice balances and aging, as well as other key criteria
- On-demand and accurate customer data exchanged between MoversSuite and Microsoft Dynamics GP
- Detailed information on orders associated to each customer at collector’s fingertips
- Aging data of Account Receivables displayed graphically
- Tasks, notes, and activities can each be generated for multiple orders, invoices, and/or alerts
- Module security is in effect with AR Credit & Collections
- Collection managers can assign collectors to a particular customer and update credit limit and contact information
 AR aging graph
Benefits of the AR Credit & Collections module:
- Reduces paper and time spent working through reports
- Save time by quickly accessing both customer account information and all Account Receivables data from one screen
- Know immediately where your customer accounts and receivables stand

Voting Enhancements
You voted, we listened, and then we developed. We hope you find great value in the top MoversSuite enhancements that you voted for and that we developed for you.
Payment Management Inquiry
Users wanted the ability to view details of posted items in Payment Management. Prior to this release, a user could access a posted or voided batch but was unable to see how items were actually applied. This was obviously a very frustrating thing for MoversSuite users since it was our top vote-getter.
Now users can access all detail associated to a posted batch. In Payment Management, the Detail Processing tab now features a View button; which replaces the Apply button when a batch has been posted.
 Payment Management View option
Other Payment Management improvements include:
- Double-click option is now effect. In Batch Management, double-clicking on a batch will send it to the Detail Processing screen. In Detail Processing, double-clicking an item will open the appropriate apply screen
- Imported statements still in the Open status can be voided
- The description of unapplied cash transaction have been worded in clearer terms
Tasks Improvements
We are very excited about having the highly requested enhancements to the Tasks module incorporated in the Fall 2009 release. Users will see improved times in retrieving data due in part to new view options and enhanced refresh features.
 Tasks Workflow
Additional Tasks enhancements are as follows:
- Users in the Tasks Workflow can select more than one record at a time and mark them all as completed or not applicable
- Users can postpone an open task item through the new Change Task Due Date option
- Tasks Workflow and Tasks tab users will have access to all functions including the ability to add and copy a task
- Tasks data grids are now expandable allowing for a large number of records to display
- Users can choose what data displays in the Tasks data grids
- Hotkeys have been enabled for Tasks
- Tasks Group is no longer required to save an order or to generate the task items list of an order
Other featured enhancements include:
- New, recurring storage items will default to Recurring No End Date
- In Invoice Management, users will not be allowed to accidently add duplicate items from the left hand list
- The description of statement options in Customer Statement Generations have been improved
- MoversSuite now support localized date formats for customers outside of the United States
- MoversSuite has been updated to support the recently-added ability of TechMate to support multiple extra stops

Employee Spotlight
Joe Eckert
Every so often you meet someone that is so unassuming that you underestimate the number of people that this person has an impact on. Joe Eckert is just such a person, and the more you know him the more impressed you become with his sincerity to help others. The perfect product developer? Who knows, but Joe’s caring nature enables him to really listen to customers and co-workers to understand exactly what their needs are and his even-tempered, patient resolve allows him to explain himself clearly. Joe’s solid background in computers, Information Technology, software development, and the moving industry also contribute to his effectiveness.
A Colorado native, Joe found his way into the Moving industry through Mesa Systems, a company formally owned by the now-MoversSuite owner, Jim Saad. Working with Jim and others, Joe help design and implement a new product to fit the needs of many moving organizations: The MoversSuite application. Over a decade later, Joe is still integral to the successful growth in MoversSuite as a product and as a company.
On the personal side, Joe is committed to his wife, Kendra, and two children, Zach and Amanda, by spending time with them in the great outdoors: camping, fishing on the Grand Mesa, hunting, and just enjoying the long, sunny Colorado days. Joe is also very active in church and the community providing help to those in need while assisting others in having a healthy spirit through his Warrior at Heart program; a program in which he helped found and continues to help run.
Polite, kind, generous, tolerant, and patient is how one former co-worker describes Joe, but she was also quick to point out that Joe’s humorous side is never far from view. “Joe decided to ‘pignap’ a ceramic pig I had sitting on top of my computer,” leaving a note indicating that it would be turned into Spam if the ransom wasn’t met.
Joe continues to make an impression on MoversSuite and other projects while maintaining a priority of making a positive impression on all those he happens to meet.

Questions & answers

Several standard reports are available to help you review personnel definitions. The User Details List report lists all defined users by branch and details their profile and labor type assignments as well as providing their login username.
The Employee Commission Plans report lists all employees by their labor type and displays their Vendor Identification and Commission Plan assignment.
The Crew by Branch report lists all local service crew members by branch and crew type (helper, loader, packer, etc.).
The Employee by Branch report provides a quick means of viewing all employees assigned to a particular branch.
The Security Profile Detail report lists all defined Security Profiles and details all modules associated to the module along with Branch, Access Type, and Manager flag setting.
Personnel Expirations and Personnel Safety Events reports are a good source of information on employee physicals, licenses, and safety events logged.
Note: Most of these reports features a catch-all categories for “No Branch” and “No Labor Type.”
Where can I find instructions for the Customer Web Portal setup?
The setup instructions for the Customer Web Portal can be found through the online help. Click here to access the Customer Web Portal Setup topic.
How can I add a branch to MoversSuite?
The Branch Setup screen in MoversSuiteAdministration (web) allows a user to quickly create a new branch. The branch can be defined to represent an agency, a region of operation or service, a geographic area, a particular reporting area, etc. We do suggest that consideration be taken when creating branch records and to be aware of its use throughout the entire organization. The ability of users to access the branch and view orders and services related to the branch, as well as the means of financial reporting, must be well thought-out.
A MoversSuite branch links to a specific agent and van line and it is used to define the format of estimates and orders generated in MoversSuite. It also defines the image that displays on the invoices, links common branches together to be viewed through Local Dispatch, and defines contacts used through the company, etc.
The fields that comprise the Branch Setup are documented in the online help in addition to related Van Line Setup, Agent Setup, and National Account Setup. Click here to view the Branch Setup description in the online help or see the Move Management Setup topic for a complete listing and description of many environmental variables.
