Accounting notes are useful for tracking processing progress while working within Payment Management or for passing comments along to other users.  Accounting notes are only visible within Payment Management, however, all users accessing a particular batch or detail record can view the notes associated to any record.

 

The accounting notes are available from within the following Payment Management data grids:

      Batch Management

      Detail Processing

      Apply Wizard (at the order level)

Each data grid in both Batch Management and Detail Processing tabs contains a notes column.   Clicking on the note icon within this column will open the Accounting Note dialog.

Once a user has added a note using free-form text and pressed OK, the note icon will appear with a red check ().   The name of the first user to place comments in the note will be permanently attached to the note.  Subsequent users can update and append to the note, however the Date Entered and the By user that created the note will remain unchanged.
