Task items will be created automatically when the Task Definition is set (see Setting Task Definition).   Otherwise, task items can be created manually through the Add Task and Copy Task functions.

 

Adding a Task Item

1.   In MoversSuite,

2.   Access the Tasks tab of an order or claim record or access the Tasks module (through Go To > Common Services > Tasks),

3.   To create a new task, press Add Task or New > New Order Task (from an order record) and the Add Task dialog will appear with no default values.  To create a copy of task, press Copy Task and the Add Task dialog will appear with data of the selected record filled in,

Note: Add Task and Copy Task button will become active once a record is selected in the Tasks Workflow.  Use the View Tasks By options to locate appropriate records.

4.   Enter a Task Description that represents the action item,

5.   Choose a User Type as either a User Type of those associated to the order or choose from a list of all personnel through the Task User selection.

Note: The Task User selector includes the Labor Type along with the name of the person.

6.   Choose the Task Date option of Enter Task Due Date to manually enter the date within the Task Date field or opt to base the date on a particular Dependency Date by choosing Use Dependency Date

The Use Dependency Date option will require that a user enter the number of days Due before or after the selected Dependency Date.  Enter “0” to base the task due date on the actual selected Dependency Date item,

7.   Press OK to add the task item.  The task will automatically appear in the data grid.
