The general Find (ALT+F) in Cash Receipts allows a users to search by cash receipt, order, or customer information.

Notes on using the Find Cash Receipt(s) By

 

Users can enter a partial value in most Find criteria including the Cash Receipt Number in Cash Receipts Information.  For example, to locate a receipt of “CR001-23920”, a user can entering the unique portion of the number (“23920”) to locate the receipt without specifying a prefix. 

 

The Check/Confirmation field is used to match on values specified for the various Payment Types.  A check number entered here will return matches found for all payment types.  A search for check number 970, for example, will search the Check Number  field for matches, but will also include Cash, Credit Card, EFT, etc., Payment Types, as well.

 

The Order Information tab in the Find allows a user to locate a cash receipt by its association to data from an order.  The search will only return cash receipts that match on the order criteria entered. 

 

When searching by Last Name/Company Name and/or First Name & MI the Find will not only search the fields within Name, Address, Phone tab for associated orders but will also include the like-named fields within Cash Receipts.

The Find Customer Information tab searches for matches on associated orders within Billing Information tab data.  It does not reference Cash Receipt customer information.
