This section provides a quick list and description of the areas involved with setting up Driver Advances.  Refer to the Driver Advances Setup and Administration for more details on this setup.

 

Listed below is a listing of the setup areas referenced within MoversSuite Administration - web for establishing driver advances and related functionality.

 

MoversSuite Administration - web > Accounting Setup > Advance Setup

Use the Advance Setup screen to perform the following tasks:

•      Set the General Ledger accounts for advance transactions

•      Set the option to place a hold on the advance when it is created

•      Set a dollar amount over the computed limit (based on the line haul percentage of the driver) which is to be available to be advanced to drivers

•      Set up banking service provider information

•      Set the option to generate transactions for an upload file

•      Set the option to create an upload file

•      Set the option to auto upload the transaction to the service provider

•      Set the variables needed to upload the transactions to the service provider’s system

 

MoversSuite Administration - web > Common > Branch Setup

Use the Brach Setup screen to perform the following tasks:

•      Set the number assigned to a branch from a service provider, if creating an upload file of advance transactions

•      Set the directory on the MoversSuite application server that will contain the upload files transmitted to a service provider

Use the Personnel screen to perform the following tasks:

•      Assign a driver to a Vendor ID (as defined in Microsoft Dynamics GP)

•      Set the account number and ID for the driver’s account with the service provider, if uploading data to the service provider

•      Set caps for the amount allowed to be advanced to a driver for a trip or order

•      Define the driver’s line haul percentage (in the Dispatch tab)

•      Assign roles to personnel to access Advance Setup areas within the MoversSuite Administration - web (in the Roles tab)

 

MoversSuite Administration - web > User Setup > Security Profile

 

Use the Security Profile screen to perform the following tasks:

•      Set up branches to access the Advance Management and Advance Processing modules
