An Administrative Hold can be placed on personnel and equipment records. It can prevent particular equipment and crew members from being assigned to a work ticket, or order record, through either Local Dispatch or Long Distance dispatch.
When a hold is placed on equipment, crew members or drivers the safety status indicator for the particular record will appear in black.

Administrative Holds can only be placed through the MoversSuite Administration - web.
Placing an Administrative Hold
1. Access the MoversSuite Administration - web,
2. Open either the Move Setup > Equipment or the User Setup > Personnel setup,
3. Locate a piece of Equipment or Personnel record from the available list,
4. Select the Safety tab,
5. Press the Edit button to make changes to the screen,
6. Click on Administrative Hold and the box next to it will become checked and a prompt for an explanation will appear,
7. Click the box that states “Enter an explanation when changing the administrative hold status” and enter a required description of the reason why the administrative hold was placed,
8. Press Save to place the hold.
An Administrative Hold event will be logged against the record when the hold is placed. This record will become part of the part of historical data that cannot be deleted. Note: The description associated to the hold is from the Event Type record that has the System Type flag set for it (as described within the Event Type Setup section).

An Administrative Hold is removed by following the same general procedure used to place the hold.
Removing an Administrative Hold
1. Access the MoversSuite Administration - web,
2. Open either the Move Setup > Equipment or the User Setup > Personnel setup,
3. Locate a piece of Equipment or a Personnel record from the available list,
4. Select the Safety tab,
5. Press the Edit button to make changes to the screen,
6. Click on Administrative Hold and the check mark will be removed from the box next to the label and a prompt for an explanation will appear,
7. Click the box that states “Enter an explanation when changing the administrative hold status” and enter a required description of the reason why the administrative hold is being removed,
8. Press Save to remove the hold.
As with placing the Administrative Hold, a permanent event will be logged against the equipment or personnel record.
