Task Definitions provide a template of workflow items for an order or claim. The template can include any number of action items and sets forth the person responsible for completing the items as well as the anticipated date that the task should be completed by.
Task Groups are linked to Task Definition records and allow the definition to be separated into separate categories. The separate groups provide a means of narrowing down search results in the Tasks Workflow screen and as a filter in the Find dialogs through the Store Information tab (see Store Information Search Criteria).
Another purpose for Task Definitions is that they control user access within the Customer Web Portal. For this purpose, the Task Setup creates a customer profile that is assigned to users through the MoversSuite Administration (web) > User Setup > Personnel > User Setup. Refer to the Creating Customer Web Portal Profiles topic for details.
Security access to Tasks function is controlled through the Security Profile setting.
