Data Grids

There are several types of grids for viewing and accessing data within MoversSuite and all can be customized by a user.  Summarized below are the features available within a MoversSuite data grid.

 

      Features of MoversSuite Data Grids:

      Data columns can be moved, added, or deleted within the grid

      Data within the grid can be sorted, filtered, and grouped

      Custom filters can be created and saved

      The data grid can be reset back to the application defaults

      Double-click option to access full record or to access more information on the selected record

      Right-mouse click options are available in most data grids

      Grid data can be exported (Claims module only)

      The shape of the grid table can be customized (Local and Long Distance Dispatch and Claims)

      Customized grid settings are saved for each user (Local and Long Distance Dispatch and Claims)

 

Not all data grids have the same features and options available to them.  A user will need to gain an understanding of the grid options and apply them to their own work environment.

 

Data grids are used extensively throughout MoversSuite and appear in many forms.  However, there are a number of common features among all data grids.  The image in Figure 1 (below) highlights the many features of MoversSuite data grids.

Feature Description

A

This area, denoted by the “Drag a column header here to group by that column” caption, allows a user to group data.  A user can click on a column heading, drag it to this area and release it to evoke data grouping.  This procedure can be repeated to include multiple levels of grouping.

B

Data column heading.  Click in this area to evoke sorting on the data values represented by the column.

C

Filter Select button  (filter option is in effect when the down arrow is colored blue ).

D

Sort option (image displays the descending order icon ).

E

Filter Bar displays the specifics of the filtered data and option to modify the filter that is in effect.  The cancel filter () button will cancel the data filtering and close the Filter Bar and the filter selector () allows the user to turn the filter on and off without discarding the filter effect.

F

Data column totals.

G

Filter Builder button.  This allows a user to refine and save the filtering criteria.

H

Scroll bars allow a user to navigate through all displayed records.

 

 

Some grids may appear not to be as elaborate or complete as other, but we encourage all users to familiarize themselves with the options available within all grids.
