Tasks will automatically be added to an order at the time the Task Definition and Task Group are assigned.  However,  a user can create ad hoc tasks, as well, through the add and copy task functions available within both the Tasks tab and Tasks Work Flow.

 

Creating Ad Hoc Tasks

1.   In MoversSuite,

If using the Tasks Work Flow:

2.   Access the Go To > Common Services > Tasks screen,

3.   Set the View Tasks By options and generate a list of tasks,

If using any Tasks tab or screen:

4.   Locate either a task to copy or any that belong to a particular order,

5.   Press Copy Task to copy the selected task record OR press Add Order Task (in Tasks screen only) OR press New > Add Order Tasks (not available in Claims) to create a new one for the order.  The only difference between these two options is that the Add Order Task will not fill in any values for within the Add Task dialog.  Once a selection is made the Add Task dialog will appear,

6.   Enter or modify the Task Description,

7.   Select User Type to base task assignment on a particular labor type associated to the order or select Task User to assign the task to a particular user.  Valid User Types include:  Claims Adjuster, Logistics Coordinator, OA Coordinator, Revenue Clerk,  Salesperson, and Transportation Coordinator (Note: The Task Users are described within the Task Definition Setup for Responsible Person).  Valid Task Users are defined for the branch of service to which the user is assigned to,

8.   Select Enter Task Due Date to activate the Task Date to select a particular date for the task to be completed by OR select Use Dependency Date to activate the Dependency Date and related fields. 

Note: If using Dependency Date, then set the Due field to the number of days before or after the selected Dependency Date.  Set the Due day to 0 to have the task due on the selected Dependency Date.

9.   Press OK to add the task to the database.  The data grid will automatically be reset.
