Automatic Rating Information Process

 

Rate information can be automatically generated within MoversSuite by setting the Rate Table (Rate Plan, Tariff/Rate) and Item Type (Item Code).  Once values are set for these two fields, then the application will attempt to pull the Rate from the Rates table.  

 

The Rate Table is set in either the Billing Information > Tariff/Rate field or within the dialog that allows the user to override the Rate Table, such as in Recurring Billing Setup.

The Item Code is set within the particular revenue dialog, such as the Item Type field within Recurring Billing Setup.

With the Item Code and Rate Plan set, the application will look up the rating information from the Rates table.  As illustrated in Figure 4 (below), a Rate of 44 will be returned for the Item Code and Rate Plan combination of “52” and “Local Other”.

If the combination of Item Code and Rate Plan is not found, then no Rate value will be returned.

 

Further, a Rate will not be returned if the application cannot determine a value based on the Rate Matrix, Effective Dates, or Rate Type settings.
