Document Management for MoversSuite

MoversSuite Document Management integrates with Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services (WSS) (a free application included in Server 2003-2008 Operating Systems) to offer a truly hands-free interface for managing all order-related documents.  Any file type recognized by Microsoft SharePoint can be rendered in MoversSuite by the document viewer and attached to an order without paper transfer.  All documents, including emails, Microsoft Word files, estimates, image files, spreadsheets, etc. can be linked to a MoversSuite order and shared among MoversSuite users. Additionally, modification made to each document is tracked within a versioning system.  All MoversSuite users will be able to access the same set of files displayed in the viewer for a particular order and will have the ability to add, print, and email documents, add notes and view a list of revisions made to the files from a stand-alone viewer.

 

Document Management is an add-on module that must be purchased in addition to standard MoversSuite functionality and is designed to work specifically with Microsoft SharePoint Services.  With the Document Management module installed, users will have access to the viewer through MoversSuite > Tools > Document Management Viewer.

 

The Document Management Viewer is launched alongside MoversSuite allowing a user to work in unison within the MoversSuite application while accessing documents related to the order.  The viewer will automatically update its display when a user switches between orders and MoversSuite modules.

Customizable groupings provide a pertinent means of organizing order documents.  Icons readily identify the type of file and which application will be used to open and view the file.

      Provides the ability to attach a variety of documents to an order that will be visible to all MoversSuite users

      The Document Management Viewer is a stand-alone application that can be used alongside MoversSuite allowing a user to work on an order while viewing related documents pertaining to the order

      The viewer dynamically switches between orders to display the documents associated to the order being viewed in MoversSuite

      Documents can be easily added, printed, and emailed from a single viewer

      Multiple documents can be added, selected, viewed or emailed at the same time

      A version history is readily available that allows the user to view, print, email, and restore prior versions of a document

      Document properties, such as the document description and type, are easily updated

      Notes can be linked to a document to further define its usage and/or content to others

      Uses Microsoft SharePoint to store and manage all documents

      A variety of file types can be accessed and viewed through the Document Management Viewer

      Customizable groups and sorting functions allow users to easily identify/locate documents

      Security features prohibit documents from accidently being overwritten
