Quote functionality is controlled through the Module setting within Security Profile setup.  Specifically, the Quote module must be assigned to a branch of use to be accessible.  Administrators can also assign the type of access to Quotes as either Full or Read Only.

 

If a user’s Security Profile does not contain the Quote module, then this user will have the same privileges as a user that is assigned to the Quote module with Read Only access.

 

Updates to a profile record affects all users assigned to it.  

 

Adding Quote module access to Security Profiles

1.   Access the MoversSuite Administration - web,

2.   Open the Security Profile section within the User Setup,

3.   Locate and select a Security Profile from the drop-down list.  Note: A user is assigned to this profile within the Security Profile field of the User Setup > Personnel > User Setup,

Add a new entry by scrolling down to bottom of the listing and making changes to the following fields within the line that contains the Save button.

4.   Enter a Module value of “Quote”,

5.   Enter Branch to be accessed by the profile,

6.   Enter Access Type (either Full or Read Only).  Set the option to Full to allow the user to view, add, modify, delete, and import quotes, otherwise Read Only will allow a user to view the records within the Quote tab only,

Note: The Manager flag serves no purpose for the Quote module.

7.   Press Save to keep the changes,

8.   Repeat Steps 3 through 7 to assign the Quote module to other branches and profiles.
