The Rate Plan associated to an order record, along with the Item Code, directs the application to a Rates table. 

 

Use the Mover’s Suite Administration to define Rate Plans.  These plans are linked directly to an order and can also be referenced through Rate Table or Tariff/Rate fields.

Defining Rate Plans

1.   Access the Mover’s Suite Administration (old version),

2.   Open the Rate Plans setup area within AFS > Rates > RatePlans

3.   Click the box that indicates “Click here to add a new row”,

4.   Enter a Rate Plan Name.  This will appear for the options available in all Rate and Tariff/Rate fields,

5.   Enter a Description.  This will appear for the options available within all Rate Table fields,

Note: Read the Tariff/Rate versus Rate Table to better understand why there are two different labels for the Rate Plan.

6.   Set the IsLocal flag to “1” to ensure that this Rate Plan is available to both local and long distance moves,

7.   Repeat Steps 3 to 6 to define additional Rate Plans.

Once established, Rate Plans will be available within all fields labeled Rate Table and Tariff/Rate.  Other rating information setup areas will be based on the Rate Plan settings.
