Define field and invoice labels for each quantity value used in computing the rate, as well as a set a divisor, within the Rate Type setup.

Defining Rate Types

1.   Access the Mover’s Suite Administration (old version),

2.   Open AFS > Rates > RateTypes,

3.   Click the box that indicates “Click here to add a new row”,

4.   Enter a Rate Type Code.  This single-digit code was originally intended to be used for van line rating downloads, but currently is only used in Daily Pro Rating (e.g.  the Rate Type Code of “W” is referenced as the weight of the move when computing Daily Pro Rated storage) and during initial setup of MoversSuite.

5.   Enter a Description.  This is what displays for Rate Type options within MoversSuite.  MoversSuite provides the following pre-set types:

Basic

Crew

Equipment

100-Weight

Miles

 

6.   Enter a Quantity 1 Label.  This value is used as the field label within the application for the first quantity field, such as “Miles”.  Important: If only one label is to be used, then leave the Quantity 1 Label blank and use only Quantity 2,

7.   Enter a Quantity 2 Label.  This value is used as the field label within the application for the second quantity field. 

8.   Enter a Divisor.  Set a factor that will reduce the value entered within MoversSuite for the Quantity fields.  For example, a 100-Weight measure can take the weight of the order record and divided it by 100 and set that as the value to base the computed charge on.  In this case, the Divisor would be set to “100”.  The Divisor must be set to a value of “1” or higher and will be applied to values entered for one or both Quantity fields,

9.   Enter a Quantity 1 Invoice Label.  This value is used as the field label on invoices for the first quantity field, such as “mi.”,

10.  Enter a Quantity 2 Invoice Label.  This value is used as the field label on invoices for the second quantity field,

11.  Repeat Steps 3 through 10 as needed.

 

Once defined, these settings can be referenced by the Description through the Rate Type field options within MoversSuite.
