Safety status indicators appear next to the driver’s name when selecting Drivers from within the Current Driver Activity tab in Long Distance Dispatch.  The indicator for the selected driver will appear to the right of the Driver field; this indicator is also a button that will allow a user to access the driver’s safety information.

All the data pertaining to the particular driver is viewable within the Safety Information screen.

Additionally, the Log Event button is available to allow the user to log safety events against the record.

Viewing safety information within Local Dispatch

1.    Access the MoversSuite application,

2.    Open the Long Distance Dispatch interface,

3.    Find and select a Driver from within the Current Driver Activity tab,

4.    Press the safety indicator box next to the driver’s name.  This will open the Safety Information screen,

5.    Press the OK button when done viewing the safety information.

 

When safety events occur, a dispatcher can immediately log them against a driver’s record within Long Distance Dispatch.

 

Logging Safety Events from Long Distance Dispatch

1.    Access the MoversSuite application,

2.    Open the Long Distance Dispatch interface,

3.    Find and select a Driver from within the Current Driver Activity tab,

4.    Press the safety indicator box next to the driver’s name.  This will open the Safety Information screen,

5.    Press the Log Event button (near the bottom of the screen) and the Log Safety Event interface will appear,

6.    Enter the Date that the event occurred,

7.    Select a Type from the drop-down list.  The values for this option is defined within Event Type Setup,

8.    Enter a Description for the event,

9.    Press the Save button to log the safety event,

10.  Press OK from the Safety Information screen to close the window.

 

The logged event will become part of the permanent record for the equipment or crew member and will display within the View Safety Information screen as well as on reports.
