The data grids within Local Dispatch and the main Claims grid
are equipped with a feature that allows the use to show, hide, and arrange data
columns. The Customize Columns button (
) appears in the upper left-hand
corner of these grids and when pressed, opens a drop-down menu that allows the
user to easily select columns to be visible within the grid as well as to
arrange their order of appearance.

The procedure below can be followed to set the data columns that will display within data grids that have the Customize Columns feature.
Set and arrange visible data columns using the Customize Columns feature
1. Access the MoversSuite application,
2. Open either Local Dispatch (including the Request Services tab) or the Claims interface (main Claims grid only),
3.
Click on the Customize Columns button (
) and a drop-down menu will appear
containing all the data fields available to display within the grid,
Show and hide data columns:
4. Place a check in the box next to the fields that are to be displayed or uncheck those that are not to be displayed,
Note: Changes made to the data fields that are checked to be visible will be immediately reflected within the data grid.
Rearrange data fields:
5. Select a field and hold the left-mouse button down,
Tip: To select more than one field to move at a time, click on a single field then hold down the CTRL key and click on other fields to move. Once all necessary selections have been made, repeat the first part of Step 5.

Move the field to the desired location within the drop-down menu and is
indicated by the green placement arrows (
),

7. Release the mouse to set the field’s location within the menu. Note: All fields within the drop-down menu can be rearranged, however only those that are checked will appear within the data grid,
8. Click the Customize Columns button to close the drop-down menu.
On most grids, even those that have the Customize Columns feature, the user can still arrange the data columns by use of the click and drag mouse feature. Simply drag a column heading to the intended location within the heading row and release it and the column headings will adjust to accommodate the placement.

Rearrange a data column within the data grid
1. Select the column heading that is to be moved,
2. Click and hold the left-mouse button down for the column,
3. Drag the column to the desired location within the grid headings,
4.
Release the left-mouse button when the two, green positioning marks appear
(
) and the data grid will be
updated to reflect the column’s new position.
To reset the visible columns back to their default setting, use the Reset Grid Layout option available through the right-mouse click (see Resetting the Data Grid topic in the online help utility).
These settings will also be saved upon exiting the application. Refer to the Saving Data Grid Settings in the online help utility for more information.
