If a user wishes to reference just one range of values to retrieve a rate, then they can define a single-axis matrix.  This matrix will have identical X and Y Ranges that will be one of either Cubic Feet, Linear Feet, Miles or Weight.   The user will define actual range values for one side (preferably the X Range) and set a single range for the other axis that will, generally, be ignored.

Begin by defining by range values with the same option.

Then setup the desired ranges for the X Range value and define a single Y Range as a catch-all, e.g. 1 – 99999.  Once the ranges are defined within the Ranges tab, switch to the Details tab and enter Rate values.

When this Rate Matrix is invoked, a move order for 275 miles will produce a rate of $150.00.  As viewed through the Add Revenue Item dialog in Figure 28 (below), the user will have access to the rating basis where the axis value will be displayed and can be adjusted by the user.  The axis value can be adjusted through the Edit Advanced Rating Basis dialog and the Rate will be updated to reflect the change.  The axis change will only affect rating; the value for miles, for example, will not be changed for the order.

All Rate Matrix records must be associated to a Rate Plan in order to be accessible through MoversSuite.
