An effective date range can be applied through a Rate Plan, and if applied, then they affect the availability of the rating information. There are three dates within MoversSuite that are used to compare with the Rate Plan effective date range:
• System Date
• Effective Date
• Load Date
System Date
System Date is date is read from the application server and is used throughout MoversSuite. Contact the system’s Information Technology (IE) expert for details.
The System Date will be used to determine which Rate Plan is in effect only if the Effective Date or Load Date is not set.
Effective Date
The Effective Date for a billing item can only be set through the Add/Edit Billing Item dialog from within Recurring Billing Setup. If this date is not set, then the application will evaluate the System Date to determine which Rate Plan is in effect.

The application will compare the Effective Date from Recurring Billing Setup to those defined for the Rates setup table in the Mover’s Suite Administration.

In the example in Figure 13 (above), the Rates record for the matching Item Code (Item Type) will be selected if the Effective Date is within the range between July 1, 2008 and July 31, 2008.
Load Date
The Load Date of the move will be used to determine which rate is in effect for quotes and for Revenue Items (Revenue Entry). If the Load Date is not set, then the application will evaluate the System Date to determine which Rate Plan is in effect.
The Load Date used to compare to Rate Plan effective dates is in the first column of the Move Information > Load Dates field when Range is selected.

The effective dates are included as part of the Rate Plan setup and a user can identify these and other characteristics of all Rate Plans by viewing the Rates by Rate Plan report (see the Rating Systems Reports section).
