A practice adopted by several MoversSuite customers has been to define a Move Type titled “Cancelled Move” (MoversSuite Administration - web > User Setup > Move Type) and to change the Move Information > Type of Move to Cancelled Move when the order has been cancelled. Since the Move Type field is part of the Find’s search results, a user can exclude all cancelled orders by using the Custom Filter and electing to exclude them.

The application will return only those orders for which the Move Type is not “Cancelled Move.”
To access the Custom Filter Within MoversSuite, execute a Find command. The search must not be specific enough to only return a single record; pressing the Find button without entering any data values within the Find screen will return all records. From the search results grid, click the Move Type column heading options and select (Custom…).

Further, the Filter Builder can be used to further filter the search results and save the search criteria for later use.

The Filter Builder is accessible through the Customize… button within the Find’s selection grid.

Note to Administrators: When creating the Move Type for cancelled moves, make sure that the
Manual Order Number flag is set. This will help insure that the type is not used to create new orders. Read more within the MoversSuite Administration section.
